The founder of Okatsune, Tsuneichi Okano, began his career as a blacksmith apprentice in 1925 and founded Okatsune in the 1940s. Now, 70 years on, Okatsune justifiably are world renound makers of shears, secateurs and snips.
Okatsune’s razor-sharp tools are uniquely forged from the best Izumo Yasugi steel, which was traditionally used for the Katana swords used by the Samurai. Okatsune secateurs and shears are razor sharp. The hardness and quality of the steel ensure a clean and precise cut, yet it's easy to sharpen the blades back to a razor edge using a whetstone.
Okatsune secateurs are simple, made only of a few parts giving real ease of use and stability. They are also robust, despite being lightweight you'll find Okatsune blades deal with material other blades would struggle with.
A genuine pleasure to use, we hope you enjoy this collection of Okatsune secateurs and pruners.
