Silky Fox: Pocketboy Professional Pruning Saw 130 or 170mm
Once you start carrying a Pocketboy, you'll have one with you always.
No longer will you be cursing leaving the loppers in the shed - you have your solution to hand. We tend to carry them in a double holster with our Okatsune secateurs but a pocket works too. And they come in a case with a belt loop on it anyway.
This pruning saw is perfect for all kinds of general pruning activities in your garden. Don't be fooled by the size of the Silky Pocketboy. This small saw punches above its weight, as they say.
The Pocketboy is lightweight and perfectly balanced. Sawing is exceptionally smooth and you're able to work in the most densely grown spaces. As with all Silky saws the blade cuts on the pull.
Even with frequent use, the teeth remain sharp for a very long time.
When not using the Pocketboy, the blade folds easily and the sharp teeth are safely covered, concealed in the handle. When the saw is needed, it can simply be unfolded thanks to the notch in the blade, even when wearing gloves. The blade securely locks in two different positions with the locking mechanism.
The rubber handle absorbs vibrations and offers a perfect grip. The Pocketboy feels comfortable in the hand, even after prolonged use. The hole in the handle is ideal for attaching a lanyard or carabiner to the saw.
- Blade length: 170 or 130mm
- Teeth: medium (10 teeth per 30 mm)
- Impulse hardened teeth - stay sharp for up to 3 times longer than non-treated teeth
- Non-set teeth for faster, cleaner cutting
- Gom rubber handle - comfortable and good grip with reduced vibrations
- Comes with carry case to strap to your belt
- Limited lifetime warranty
The blade can't be re-sharpened because the teeth have been impulse hardened. But we can supply a replacement blade when the time comes. There's just one screw to undo to change the blade.
WARNING. NEVER CUT DIRECTLY ABOVE YOUR HEAD. Always consider where the falling branches will land on the ground. We strongly recommend the use of protective hard hats and glasses.
WARNING. Silky Saws are extremely sharp so please be careful when using and keep away from children. Be particularly careful at the last stage of the cut when the blade comes free from the wood.
MANUFACTURER WARNING. Incorrect use of a Silky Saw may cause injury. Silky, its affiliates, subsidiaries, importers, distributors and dealers are not responsible for and shall not be liable for any fatality, injury, loss, or damage resulting from the use of its products.
