Sneeboer Great Dixter Planting Spade
This Item Qualifies You For Free Delivery!
We absolutely love this little planting spade from Sneeboer. It may be small but, in gardening terms, it packs a big punch.
It's also one of Monty Don's favourite tools and you'll frequently see him using one on Gardener's World.
In reality, almost all planting work is done down on your hands and knees. This short handled spade, developed in conjunction with Fergus Garrett at Great Dixter, is the best planting spade we've used.
The narrow, scooped head makes digging larger holes so much easier, faster and less arduous than using a hand trowel and avoids all the strain on your wrists.
It's super fast to work with, lifting out material to create your planting hole in no time. And the short handle gives you complete control - not something you have when using a normal spade.
Great, too, for working in amongst other plants.
Use it for digging planting holes, lifting and dividing perennials and anywhere you'd find a normal spade too unwieldy.
Like all Sneeboer tools, it's made from hand forged stainless steel and has a strong, straight grained ash handle.
